I just read an interesting blog post on emerging telco charging models: Euro ‘Google Tax’ battle looms.
I am not sure what the author means by the following:
However, what would stop the likes of Google, the most vocal of net neutrality supporters, from avoiding those networks altogether and routing their content via less expensive or free routes, maybe even developing their own.
Is it being suggested that Google would become a 3G/4G operator? I think that this is unlikely, but I could see it rolling out unlicensed wireless infrastructure in urban areas.

Google Street View launched in Ireland yesterday, and it received plenty of media attention. For example, see Google Street View goes live or Street View to go live at maps.google.ie Friday evening.
I saw one of the cars taking photos last year, as I described in Google Street View in Dublin. Now I can happily reveal that I am indeed visible! Yippee!!!
I am not going to say where I am, but I will say that I was not on Ballinteer Drive :D (You might need to read Barefaced cheek on Google Street View to get the joke!)

Over the weekend I did a search using Google for something that was on television at that time. I was very surprised to see Google listing current Twitter postings near the top of the search results!

Google announced its latest offering during the week. It is called Buzz, and it represents Google’s entry in social networking (again).
More opinions of Buzz are contained in Google takes on Facebook and Twitter with network site and Google Buzz – Gmail mod for the Tweetbook set.
I think that it looks like a good idea, and it should certainly appeal to people who already use Google’s other services.

I just heard that Google has released a new programming language called Go! More information is available at The Go Programming Language.
My initial reaction is that I do not see the advantage of this new programming language.
